Dr Kim Nairn

Kim is a 1984 graduate from Western Australia’s Murdoch University.

After several years in mixed animal practice. Kim then served as the Technical Services Manager for Milne Feed, Festive Foods and Australian Natural Pork.

In 2001 he joined Portec Veterinary Services (now a branch of Apiam Animal Health).

Kim’s interest in staff education is complemented by his service as a Senior Adjunct Lecturer for the Intensive Animal Industries course at Murdoch University; a position he has held since 2009.

In 2007 Kim established his own piggery “Peel Pork.” The piggery not only provides a deep connection to real world decisions and production practices but also provides Murdoch University veterinary students a chance to experience agriculture and the challenges confronting primary producers.

Kim is passionate about the production of food, supporting regional communities, facilitating change, and empowering his staff and clients to become the best versions of the people that they aspire to be.
