Dr Sam Weekes from the Apiam pig vet team in Perth represented the pig sector for the panel discussion at the Australian Veterinary Antimicrobial Stewardship (AVAMS) conference this week. Sam and 3 other panel members speaking on behalf of dairy, equine/mixed and companion animals sector discussed antimicrobial stewardship and how it can be improved, effective measurement and what areas to prioritise for each of the industries.
