Dr Mark Eastaugh

Mark is a graduate from The University of Queensland.

Upon graduating, he practiced mixed animal medicine and piggery consultant work in Laidley, Sarina and Biloela Qld.

This led to being offered a position as a Veterinarian for Bunge Meat Industries (BMI, now Rivalea) in Corowa, which continued from 1988 until 1994.

He completed his Membership in The Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by study and examination in Medicine of Pigs in 1991.

In 1994 he transferred to Batam Island, Indonesia, as part of the BMI joint venture in Indonesia: Culindo Livestock. Mark served as a Technical Manager and then as General Manager for the parent company, PT Indotirta Suaka. Mark provided oversight during a period of major construction and growth until 2007.

From 2007 until 2013, he moved to Singapore to further his children’s education, and there held a position as Technical Manager Asia Pacific in Alpharma Animal Health, and then later Pfizer Animal Health (now Zoetis).

Mark relocated to Australia in 2017 to join Chris Richards and Associates (now Apiam). Mark’s interests and expertise include large scale segregated production systems, data analysis, technical trial work and recording systems, simplified production flows, and biosecurity management.
