Dr Kate Savage

Kate, a 2009 Murdoch graduate, joined Portec (now a branch of Apiam Animal Health) in 2012.

Prior to 2012, Kate diversified her experience with mixed practice, government animal welfare regulation, small animal practice and pig consultancy.

Since joining Portec Kate has been heavily involved in APIQ auditing, Swine Dysentery eradication programs, Cert III stockperson training and delivering the Intensive Industries teaching at Murdoch University.

Kate holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment and is currently in the final stage of earning a Masters in Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law through the University of Edinburgh.

Kate’s special interests include stockperson training, animal welfare and reproductive performance.
