Dr Susan Dawson BVSc

Senior Swine & Poultry Veterinarian

Susan is a pig and poultry veterinarian based in Perth. She graduated from James Cook University in 2012 and joined Apiam Animal Health in 2013 as a new graduate.

Susan is currently the president of the Australian Pig Veterinarians (APV).

Susan’s passion has always been in agriculture, stemming from growing up on her family’s mixed enterprise farm in western Victoria.

She found her niche in pigs during university and was passionate about becoming a pig vet. Upon employment at Apiam Animal Health, the feathered poultry friends had a knack for becoming her cases – hence her keen interest in all things poultry.
