European Parliament accepts new regulations for larger livestock farms
The European Parliament approved new rules to reduce harmful emissions from industrial installations and large pig and poultry farms. Agricultural organisations have lobbied hard to get livestock farmers out of the regulations but the EP voted in large majority in favour of the revision of the so-called “Industrial Emission Directive” (IED).
